Ford Everest/Endeavor Ownership review…….
2.2L Titanium Option

This is the Long term Ownership review. The car was bought on Jan 2017 and is 2 Years old , it has clocked around 20,000km. It has done 3 Service ,first service at 2500km then at 10,000 or 1 year and 20,000 or 2 year. Now talking about fuel consumption it returns an average 8-10km/l combined and highway mileage varies as your mood as the car can hit a top speed of approx. 180kmph, so it really depends upon your mood swing because you can just cruise on the highway or reach point A to B faster 😎….

Driving Dynamics…..
The handling of the vehicle is great, the greatest factor helping this is the steering , it is very light and nimble which makes it easy to flick around the large suv like a small car.. The steering becomes very much helpful in parking as it is very easily maneuverable, body roll is very minimum on this suv and this help it go through corners at high speeds, electronic stability control with rollover stability and traction control is the key ingredients in this. Another highlight is the ground clearance 225mm which makes it easy to go over potholes…

Comfort and Convenience
The suv is seated at a high riding position and thus it offers an excellent ride and comfort, it offers the best ride comfort compared to its rivals.. Driver seat is 8-way electronically adjustable, the middle row provides plenty of leg room and head room while the last row aren’t that comfortable for adults and it is mainly fit for children. Rear climate control ac is also present. A total of 4 12v power outlets are included, the rear tail gate is electronic. Auto Hid headlamps, front and rear sensor, well if you go into the feature list it is a big one…😅. So overall the suv is feature packed and offers the best in class ride and comfort..

Engine
A punchy 2.2l TDCI Diesel engine with 160 Ps power and 385nm of torque with peak power output at 3200rpm and torque kicking in at 1600-2500rpm. It is has a 6 speed automatic Dsg gear box. The engine is really punchy and overtaking is just so easy, but you might feel the lack of gears , it would have been better if it had a 10 speed gear box and ford has noticed that and introduced the 10 speed automatic 2.0l bi-turbo engine in the new 2019 Europe models. Mileage is bit low as mentioned before but the large 80 ltr tank helps in covering long distance at a single fill.

Final verdict
The Ford everest/endeavour is a superb suv with Ncap 5 star safety rating (7 airbags) and is packed with features, the car has been in my possesion for all most 2 years, it hasn’t breakdown even once and the ford built quality shows the toughness of the vehicle and in my experience i had driven it on very rough terrains to justify the durability of the car. The service cost is also moderate not too expensive and ford provides an excellent service job. Overall you get an excellent large suv for fun riding and for long km munching rides. If your in the market for a large suv in this price bracket look no further as the everest/endeavour is the best suv to date..
